Long awaited by his fans, it has just come out lali released the new and more personal album of laliwhere it collects the successes released in preview, such as Discipline, buy me a brishito, N5, Diva, like you, Motiveishon AND 2 are 3to which are added six unreleased tracks.
The title is simply laliand it is his most pop work, where he combines the sounds of the 2000s with the hyper pop, dance, electronic bases and catchy melodies.
Lali announced it like this: “This record is lali because it comes from the most sincere side of my art and my person. I feel like it closes a cycle in my life and career. Now a new road is opening for a new Lali. Long live pop! It’s for you, unruly loves.”
The countdown
For the album release announcement, Lali surprised her followers by activating a countdown timer on her Spotify profilebeing the first Argentinian artist to do so, and generating an unstoppable expectation.
There are thirteen songs in total, the result of an intense work of musical exploration, self-knowledge and experimentation in the studio, composed by the so-called Pop Triumvirate, formed by Lali, Martín D’Agosto and Mauro De Tomasso.
It was recorded between Buenos Aires, Madrid and San Ignacio, and the result reflects his artistic evolution and maturity both in terms of sound and visuals.
The arguments
These songs find a Lali without prejudice, who breaks down barriers and goes against the grain of formulas. Lali is the more pop version of her, where the artist recognizes her influences, plays with current sounds and makes the music she likes best. It is a perfect example of her versatility as an artist.
Crowned by her peers and audiences, Lali is considered the quintessential Argentine pop artist. And in the year in which she celebrates her first decade as a soloist, Lali arrives, a job two unexpected participations: the voice of Moria Casán in who are they? and Ca7riel’s guitar and vocals in KO.
In lali there is no shortage of emotion, with the moving ballad Incondicional on songs like Nowand the soft and seductive rhythms in Alone.
