The first wife of Johnny DeppLori Allison, had the opportunity to comment on the lawsuit the actor was involved in against his third wife, Amber Heard, last year and which has gone around the world due to controversy and high visibility which he had and was very direct and sincere.
During a recent podcast appearance The planet of popcorn (as reported by the newspaper Daily mail), Lori Allison, who was married to Depp from 1983 to 1985, shared her thoughts on the domestic violence and defamation trial between the exes, saying that “by making all these allegations, it made him look like a juicer.”
The opinion of the first
Allison, a makeup artist who she was 25 when she married Depp, 20shared his first impressions of Heard, who was married to the protagonist of Pirates of the Caribbean between 2015 and 2017.
“He’d met her before, he’d been to parties at her house and she looked so cute and she was beautiful, how could he not fall in love?” Allison said.
“But as time went on and I heard things about her, which I won’t name, Johnny didn’t seem very happy,” she continued. And he admitted that he felt very bad when he saw everything that happened during the trial between the actress and model and Depp.
“The things that stood out to me the most were the things he said in court; They were terrible and I broke down several times because I felt so bad for him,” Allison added.
“He’s very private, that’s why I haven’t talked before and I think what Johnny really needed to do was get it over with as soon as possible,” she said of her ex.
Of the trial, in which both Heard and Depp relayed violent and frightening details, allegedly taking place during those two years of marriage, Allison commented, “I thought it was going to be an epic train wreck or it was going to come out very well.”
According to Allison, she was “terrified” for Depp when she saw Heard take the witness stand to testify. She added: “I’m no angel, I’ve done some bad things to people, but what she did was absolutely awful and if there were things I could do to her that were legal, I would! I would,” she said.
Good relationships
Even though her marriage to Depp ended abruptly, Allison is still friends with the Hollywood star. And he replies: “He’s really generous, he’s got the biggest heart he’s ever known. I love him very much and I get silly when I think about him and his future, and our past too,” she admitted.
“I want nothing but the best for him and I hope he feels the same for me!” she added. And she justified her defense of the actor: “Can I say bad things about him? Yeah, how can I say mean things about everyone, but there’s no reason to. Make normal mistakes like everyone else. But then again, he’s generous, he’s kind and I can’t wait to be in a room with him again because I’d love to give him a hug.”
Allison is not the first ex to defend Depp from the accusations received from Heard. Several famous ex-partners like the actresses had also done it before. Winona Ryder AND Vanessa Paradise (with whom he had his two children) and supermodel Kate Moss.
Meanwhile, the actor awaits the premiere of Jeanne-du-Barryfilm in which he stars, at the next Cannes Film Festival, with which he returns to work and public life, after the scandalous trial.
