Haley Lu Richardson, Ben Hardy and Jameela Jamil will star in the film
The novel “The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight”, written by the American Jennifer E. Smith, will be made into a movie. According to Deadline, Netflix has acquired the rights to the work and will adapt the project for streaming.
In addition to the novelty, the site confirmed that Haley Lu Richardson (“Five Feet Away”) and Ben Hardy (“Bohemian Rhapsody”) will star in the film. Jameela Jamil (“The Good Place”), Rob Delaney (“Catastrophe”), Dexter Fletcher (“Rocketman”) and Sally Phillips (“Bridget Jones’s Diary”) round out the cast.
“The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight” revolves around the question: who would have thought that four minutes could change a person’s life forever? Due to this small chronological unforeseen event, Hadley (Richardson) misses his flight. But it finds its destiny. Who can say that this is not part of some cosmic plan? That’s how she knows Oliver (Hardy) during a trip from New York to London. The chance of meeting each other again seems impossible when they land in England, but love and London defy the odds.
Vanessa Caswillresponsible for the series “Little Women” and “My Mad Fat Diary”, will direct the film. Katie Lovejoyfrom the “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” franchise, signs the script for the project.
The premiere date has not yet been announced by Netflix.
