The fifth contestant eliminated by Master Chef Argentina (Telefe, Sundays at 10.30pm and Monday to Thursday at 10.15pm) was Augustine Sampietro.
Germán Martitegui, Damián Betular and Donato de Santis made the decision to expel the gynecologist after the participant did not prepare for the elimination gala.
“I saw it coming. I was falling behind. Now I’m back to cooking for the family”was Agustín’s first self-critical reaction.
“Winning is an anecdote, being there is everything. That’s why it was my decision to try different things. I leave here very happy”added.

The elimination gala started with Rodolfo, Agustín, Antonio, Aquiles, Candelaria, Estefanía and Daniela, who had to prepare a dish -in 60 minutes- with 11 ingredients (yam potatoes, gizzards, cabbage, horseradish, wasabi, etc.) given to him by the jury. Yes or yes, they should have used all the ingredients. And in between, Betular, Donato and Martitegui added three more ingredients to the participants: hibiscus, grapefruit and hazelnuts.
The best of the evening, by far, were Estefanía, who prepared a milanesa de gizzards, and Candelaria, who prepared fried gizzards. Both have amassed praise from the judging panel.
“Today’s dishes reflect the good path they are making. They have created the best dishes of the day. Congratulations,” said Donato.
Who continues in MasterChef Argentina
After the elimination of Agustín, who joins the first expelled, Emilia, Micaela, Carlos and Juan Ignacio, 11 participants continue in the culinary reality show, which will award a prize of 10 million pesos and the coveted trophy of Master Chef.
They are: Delfina Gayoso, Estefanía, Antonio López, María Sol Ferrero, Daniela, Aquiles González Sviatschi, Silvana, Rodolfo Vera Calderón, Juan Francisco Moro, Candelaria Sorini and Rodrigo Salcedo.
Dolli Irigoyen’s participation in MasterChef begins
This Monday May 1st and Tuesday May 2nd Dolli Irigoyen will replace Germán Martitegui on the jury.
The demanding jury was temporarily absent to register their Tierras project, an expedition combining gastronomy, regional productions and tourism, and which also goes on Telefe (Sundays at midnight).
The famous cook was already a replacement for Martitegui in the first season of Master chef celebrity. And then it was in the third, but this time it was Donato de Santis.
