The album Greedy Dollars Now he is five years old and he has become everything a classic of Spanish rap and a turning point in the career of C Tangana.

To celebrate this anniversary, El Madrileño has just reissued that 2018 hit, both digitally and on 12-inch vinyl. Moreover, includes a previously unreleased song as a bonus track: Strait / Alvaradohis new single with pablopablo.

In 2018, Greedy Dollars brought together some of the best Spanish producers of the moment, such as Steve Lean, Lost Twin, Danni Ble and Enry-K, together with international references such as Colombian Sky Rompiendo and The Rudeboyz.

Together, they created the perfect sonic framework for C Tangana to unleash a versatility that has since become his personal hallmark.

The result was a collection of songs that time seems to stand still, with already iconic singles like Crying in the limousine, which went double platinum in Spain, triple platinum in Chile, platinum in Argentina and gold in Mexico. Or even Cuando me miras, gold record in Spain and Chile.

The title refers to the corner of those two streets in Madrid where C Tangana lived when he recorded his first songs. I intend a melancholy look into the pastwhich builds a bridge between the time of Cream and the most recent The Madrilenianwhich was his last outing, two years ago.

The release was alerted to his fans with a tweet responding to a fan’s request to release a new song soon: “Okay, at midnight I’ll drop a letrilla.”

And so he did. At 00:00 on the night of Friday May 5, she released the song where both the base and the text recall and refer to his beginnings in the world of rap.

The lyrics say “I could forget about the Grammys, the suits, the envelopes, Sony, partying in Miami” and wishes “to be Crema again, 100 people at the party”.
