Red Ketchup will be reborn in an animated series on Télétoon

Red Ketchup, a cult character from Quebec comics created 40 years ago by Réal Godbout and Pierre Fournier, will be the centerpiece of a new animated series on Télétoon next winter.

The FBI agent, Red Ketchup is also a polydrug who is particularly fond of cocaine, whose excessive consumption barely hurts him. The antihero with questionable ways of working first appeared in the magazine Fang in 1982, as the second character in the Michel Risk series, before temporarily investing in the pages of titanic at Safari.

Réal Godbout and Pierre Fournier have also launched nine volumes of a comic strip entirely devoted to the character, which outlines with him a brave satire of deeper America, in a plot of the adventures of all redundancysummarizes the publisher of Red Ketchup, La Pastèque.

In the animated series, directed by Martin Villeneuve, we see the red-eyed agent at the end of the Cold War, sent on a distant FBI mission, who wants to remove him.

Red Ketchup will offer a show for the general public, unpretentious but highly entertaining. Fun mix of genres – action, black comedy, adventure, fantasy -, visual extravagances and colorful characters are theresummary in a press release by Martin Villeneuve, who has been working on this adaptation for several years.

No cartoon has reached this far yet. Red Ketchup will show you all the colorsadopted for his part Hugues Dufour, production delegate to the Télétoon.

The 20 30 minute episode of the series Home ketchup will be aired from winter 2023 on Télétoon, on the block of the Télétoon la nuit program, reserved for an informed public. An English version will also be broadcast on the American channel Adult Swim.
