after saying inside THEY (America, Monday to Friday at 8pm) that Argentines “are poor”, this Wednesday Dallys Ferreira took to his Twitter account to explain why he used that term and accused the media of misrepresenting his words.
The controversy started when the Paraguayan was invited to participate as an angel in the cycle led by Ángel de Brito and in that context she created strong statements about the socio-economic situation of Argentina.
When the journalist asked her if she had returned to the country to stay, the model specified: “I’m a tourist. I earn better money in Paraguay, but I miss them a lot. They’re poor, but I miss them a lot.”
These statements caused a strong reaction among his colleagues, such as Yanina Latorre, who immediately replied: “‘They are poor!’ He said it to our face”. “I can’t believe what he just said!” added Marixa Balli.
On social media the viewers of THEY They also expressed their indignation for these harsh terms with which Ferreira referred to Argentine citizens. “What he said was in very bad taste. Well, what happened then in Argentina…”, “Go away, ungrateful” and “Stay in Paraguay” were some of these comments.
Seeing the commotion caused by her statements on the America program, the presenter of Uncanal decided to explain her statements through her Twitter account: “I want to clarify that I pranked @AngeldebritoOk about a previous prank he made on me.”
“I love and respect Argentines, I am very sorry that my words are misinterpreted. Far be it from me (is) arguing, I have come to spend some good days in this country that I love,” Dallys wrote on the bird’s social network.
In this sense, he blamed the media for their treatment of the news: “It’s a pity that some media distort my words, Argentina has given me so much and I will always be grateful.”
“I made the joke to Ángel and at another time I referred to Argentina and I commented on the difficult moment that the Argentines have told me they are going through.” He recounted what he heard when he arrived in the country.
The responses Dallys received on Twitter
After explaining what he meant by his statements about the socio-economic situation in Argentina, the tweeters gave their opinion on the matter. And, among the over 200,000 users who follow it, He has gathered positions in favor and others against.
