Pixar will tell the story of the famous character of “Toy Story”
Disney screened the first 30 minutes of “Lightyear” at CinemaCon on Wednesday, revealing plot details in which astronaut Buzz will become involved with the Space Rangers and more about Pixar’s first lesbian couple.
According to IndieWire, the character Hawthorne (Use Fertilizer) is a scientist who stays ashore while Buzz is embroiled in a complicated mission in space. As the years pass quickly for him, we see Hawthorne and a few other characters getting older and going through various milestones in their lives.
In the case of the scientist, these events are her marriage to her girlfriend, and the birth of the couple’s first child. As CineBuzz has reported before, the two share an on-screen kiss.
The 30 minutes ends with Buzz fleeing a Rangers ship with his robot kitten, Socks. The astronaut’s revolt comes after he has spent decades trying to free himself and his crew from a kind of time pocket where they are trapped.
Every time Buzz tries to rescue them, he loses 4 years of his life. Because of this, the commanders decide that he can no longer make attempts, leading him to leave on a solitary mission.
