New Year’s premiere of “Hacks” takes place on HBO Max from May 12
HBO released on Wednesday (27) the trailer for season 2 of “Hacks” to mark the return of acid comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart).
In the preview, to the sound of “The Bitch is Back”, sung by Sir Elton JohnVance and Ava (Hannah Einbinder) embark on a US tour as they try to mature the bond between them and those around them.
According to the platform, the premiere will feature two episodes released on May 12. The new season will have a total of eight episodes, two of which will be released weekly, with the season finale being made available on the 2nd of June.
Check out the synopsis of the second season: “The dark mentorship between legendary Las Vegas comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and his young writer Ava (Hannah Einbinder) continues to evolve as the two travel the country training Deborah’s new stand-up act.“
Among the new cast members for season 2 are the actors Susie Essman (“Hold the Wave”) and Devon Sawa (“The Killing Hand”). Christopher McDonald, Kaitlin Olson, Paul W. Downs, Poppy Liu, Rose Abdoo, Mark Impolite, Meg Stalter, Angela E. Gibbs, luenell, Johnny Sibilly, Joe Mande, Ally Maki and Lorenza Izzo also star in the new episodes.
Season 1 of “Hacks” is available on HBO Max.
