series of The Eternaut is starting to become reality: the shooting of the first audiovisual adaptation of the iconic cartoon by German Hector Oesterheldillustrated by Francisco Solano López. It will be a contemporary version made by Netflix together with K&S Films, with Ricardo Darín in the lead role and under the direction of Bruno Stagnaro.

Ricardo Darin He is in a moment where he turns everything he touches to gold. Everyone wants to work with him, so after the success of Argentina, 1985the actor will be the protagonist of the series and will be involved in the dystopian future of a Buenos Aires covered in radioactive snow.

After a deadly snowfall that kills millions, John Saved Together with a group of survivors, he fights against an alien menace controlled by an unseen force.

The Eternaut, from Netflix: one by one, who are the actors who will participate in the series

Ricardo Darín will play Juan Salvo, this being his debut in a Netflix original production. Also added to the cast: Carla PetersonCesar Troncoso, Andrea Pietra, Ariel Staltari, Marcello SubiottoClaudio Martínez Bel, Orianna Cárdenas and Mora Fisz, among other actors and actresses.

It has been reported that the series will feature six episodes and was co-written by Stagnaro e Ariel Staltari. Its filming will take place on location and set in Buenos Aires.

“AND a huge and very complex project, is an updated version that aims to go beyond the borders of our country. It’s based on the real comic, but there’s a new version and we’re all very excited and mobilized,” confirmed Darín in a recent interview.

Bruno Stagnaro, director and head of the script, said: “For me El Eternauta represents my old man bringing me the weekly comic book installments. I think it was one of the first things I read in full in my life, at the age of 10, and it had a profound influence on my understanding of fiction made in my own country.”

And he added: “The feeling that that first reading left me stayed with me throughout my life and, in some way, had a great influence on what I did after… where the city is a living presencealmost like another character.”

Martin M. Oesterheldnephew of the author and screenwriter of the original work, who participates as a creative consultant, added: “We have been working for some years with Bruno on the development of the scripts for his adaptation. The story of the resistance of Juan Salvo and his brave group of fighters is a challenge for the entire Argentine audiovisual medium: science fiction with a local perspective, “from this southern hemisphere which is also part of the planet, my dear grandfather would say”.

At the same time, Matias Mosteirinexecutive producer of K&S Moviesclaims that produce The Eternaut “It’s huge challenge, technical and artistic, and it involves a great responsibility, which is why we work with the best, with highly talented Argentine professionals and with a great author and director like Bruno. We worked on the development of this project years ago to make sure it lived up to the quality of the work. Starting filming is the materialization of a dream“.
