The Swede swept away tattoo both among national juries and with those of the public in countries around the world. Finland was in second place and Israel in third.
Loreen had explained that she hadn’t thought about entering the Eurovision Song Contest until she heard what her song would be.

This 39-year-old artist whose real name is Lorine Talhaoui was born in Sweden. Her parents are of Moroccan descent and she is the eldest of six siblings, she grew up in the suburbs of Stockholm where she currently lives. One of her sisters, Markiz Tainton, is a cook and TV presenter.
With “Tattoo”, a pop anthem about unconditional loveLoreen wanted to represent today’s Sweden.
“I want to reflect who we are, no matter what we look like, no matter how bad our days are,” a woman repeatedly vilified by the far right because of her background told the paper.
With the scenography of “Tattoo”, which saw her singing trapped between two large blocks, she wanted to “create a space where she feels safe”, she explained.
This space is “made up of everything that I think we represent in Sweden. And above all inclusion. I have nomadic origins, I’m Berber, but I’m also Swedish,” she defended.
The gala began with a surprise in the video starring the Kalush Orchestra, champions 2022: Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, sitting at the piano to accompany the melody of “Stefania” of Windsor.
