By decision of Germán Martitegui, Donato de Santis and Damián Betular, Estefanía Herlein was eliminated by Argentina Master Chef (Telefe, Sunday at 10.30pm and Monday to Thursday at 10.45pm).
The 34-year-old, who is dedicated to press and communication, became the seventh eliminated from the culinary contest led by Wanda Nara.
“That’s right, a bad dish excludes you,” acknowledged Estefanía, who was moved by her farewell.
“I had a lot of fun, learned a lot about cooking and about myself. It’s a great MasterChef life experience. Thank you so much for everything”then underlined Estefanía, who was applauded by Wanda, the jury and her colleagues.
The elimination gala began with the participation of Aquiles, Estefanía, Rodrigo, Juan Francisco and María Sol, who had a difficult challenge: to perform a dish with octopus as the main ingredient.
“They have to present an appetizer and a main course at the same time, both with octopus,” Donato explained of the day’s slogan, which had to be done in 70 minutes.
The first to face the jury was Achilles, who made an octopus with lemon as a starter and a Galician-style octopus inversion for the main course. “Clearly it’s the first time you’ve done it, I don’t know how it went so well for you,” praised Martitegui. The Cordovan was the best of the evening.
Then, Rodrigo He presented octopus with chilli cream for appetizer and for main course, octopus casserole with tomato and vegetables. “Both dishes must be more outside of MasterChef than inside,” Betular criticized him relentlessly.
Zucchini roll with spicy octopus (appetizer) and zucchini stuffed roll with tomato sauce (main course) were the preparations for Juan Francisco. “It’s interesting, I really like the itch,” Donato judged. However, his colleagues did not agree with his opinion and were quite critical of the lifeguard job.
StephanieFor his part, he presented an octopus tiradito with citrus vinaigrette as an appetizer and grilled octopus with new potatoes as a main course. “The octopus is almost overcooked and the vinaigrette is acidic. It would be impossible for me to finish that dish,” Martitegui asked.
Finally, Maria Sol He made an octopus tiradito with passion fruit and mandarin sauce for an appetizer; and as a first course octopus tentacles with mashed potatoes and spinach. After trying it, Betular pitched, “The entry doesn’t taste like anything. And the main course I thought would be bursting with flavor because of the ingredients and it didn’t.”
Who continues in MasterChef Argentina
After the elimination of Estefanía, who joins the first expelled, Emilia, Micaela, Carlos, Juan Ignacio, Agustín and Delfina, 9 participants continue to compete in the culinary reality showwhich will award a prize of 10 million pesos and the coveted MasterChef trophy.
They are: Antonio López, María Sol Ferrero, Daniela, Aquiles González Sviatschi, Silvana, Rodolfo Vera Calderón, Juan Francisco Moro, Candelaria Sorini and Rodrigo Salcedo.
