Simon Pegg admits he covered up his alcoholism while filming Mission Impossible III

Simon Pegg revealed how tried to hide his alcoholism on set during the filming of Mission Impossible III, part of the Tom Cruise action thriller saga, in the 2000s. The actor opened up about his personal struggles in the recent episode of Desert Island Discsby the BBC, as reported by the newspaper Keeper.

“You get very smart when you have something like this in your life; you become very calculating,” Simon Pegg told BBC radio show host Lauren Laverne.

Despite that bad season for his personal life, Pegg has admitted it has a fluid relationship with Tom Cruiseprotagonist and producer of the saga of Mission Impossiblegiven that his character of Benji Dunn was retained in the different sequels. That is to say, his alcoholism, at least, has not left any wounds in the world of cinema nor has it particularly affected his career.

Pegg, who played Benji Dunn, an FBI field tech agent who helps Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise). While speaking with Laverne, Pegg also shared a few details about her relationship with the star of Mission ImpossibleTom Cruise, with whom he worked on four films in the saga: the II (2006), Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011), Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation (2015) and Mission Impossible: Fallout (2018).

It will also be in the next one, which will be released in theaters in August 2023, Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning, part one.
