“Close a Chapter”

Abel Makkonen Tesfaye said he was immersed in a “cathartic” process and that musically he wanted to “kill The Weeknd”, as he explained in an interview last week for the American magazine W Magazine.

“I am coming to a place and time where I am preparing to close the chapter on The Weeknd. I’m trying to shed that skin and be reborn. As The Weeknd I’ve already said all I could say,” he told her.

Projects as an actor

Abel Tesfaye’s next project is the idola drama series co-created by and starring himself, centering on the meteoric rise of a pop star and his complex relationship with a self-help guru and cult leader.
