The sequel is set to hit theaters in May 2023
Justin Lin announced on Tuesday (26) that he will leave the direction of “Fast and Furious 10”, which began filming on the 20th.
In a statement published on the official Twitter account of the “Fast and Furious” franchise, the filmmaker said that he left the project due to “creative differences”. Check out the tweet:

“With Universal’s support, I made the difficult decision to step down as director of [Velozes e Furiosos 10], following in the project as. Over 10 years and five films, we shot with the best actors, the best stunts and the best chases.”he said line in a statement.
“As the son of Asian immigrants, I am proud to help build the most diverse franchise in film history. I will forever be grateful to the incredible cast, crew and studio for their support and for welcoming me into the Fast family.”. he concluded.
line took over the direction of the franchise in “Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift” and went on to direct the following three films. He walked away from the franchise in the seventh and eighth features, and returned in “Fast & Furious 9”.
For now, Warner Bros. no name has yet been announced to fill the director’s vacancy.

Without a plot revealed, the new feature recently added the actress Brie Larson (“Captain Marvel”) in the main cast of the plot. After being delayed in Brazil, Universal Pictures, the studio responsible for distributing the film, confirmed that “Fast and Furious 10” arrives in theaters on May 19, 2023.
