The musician Jorge Arduh, known as “El Fantasista del Teclado”, has died.

Well-known musician and composer Jorge Arduh He died this morning at the age of 99, his relatives said.

Arduh, who was called “The Awesome Keyboard” Thanks to his outstanding skill as a pianist, he was born on January 5, 1924 in the Cordoba town of Las Junturas, in the Río Segundo department.

His son, lawmaker Orlando Arduh, said his father had heart failure, they immediately took him to a clinic, but he did not survive despite the prompt treatment he received.

“Era a father and an exemplary musician“, he expressed with deep pain and added: “He was an excellent person, representative of city music throughout the country, where he went they recognized him.

On his social networks, Arduh Jr. posted pictures with his father and wrote: “Goodbye, Pá!”

Son of Syrian parents who emigrated to Argentina, Jorge Salomón Arduh studied drums, accordion and later piano in Las Junturas. There he made his debut in an orchestra at age 12 and then performed for several months in the town of Villa María.

In 1940, according to La Voz, he joined the Los Caballeros orchestra conducted by Martín Utrera in the city of Córdoba, later joining the famous group La Argentinidad, directed by Lorenzo Barbero.

Back in Buenos Aires, in the late 1940s, he formed his typical orchestra with which he performed for three decades.

The artist’s remains have been veiled since this noon in a room on Rafael Núñez avenue, north of the capital Cordoba.
