After several weeks of intrigue and speculation -and even riddles in other programs-, we know who will accompany Marcela Tinayre in the new season of controversy at the barcycle of which, finally, the day and time of the premiere are also known.
América has confirmed that the creation of brothers Gerardo and Hugo Sofovich, in 1963, will return to the screen on Monday, May 29 at 11.15pm. AND, for the first time in its 60-year history, the table will be led by a woman.
While negotiations continue to see on which channel Mirtha Legrand will present a new edition of her lunches or dinners, his daughter already has the table set. And, like her mother and daughter (John Viale), Marcela will sit at a sort of headboard, even if the table is round.
In the traditional roles that the Sofovichs created for the other members of the “polemic”, this time they will be Chiche Gelblung, Marcelo Polino, Flavio Mendoza, Gabriel Schultz, Eliana Guercio, Alfa (the brand new ex Big Brother) AND claudio rico.
Although there is a thematic script for each evening, the intention is that there is always room for improvisation, closer to the concept of controversy and debate, tinged with humour.
The return of a classic
Originated as a humorous segment of Operation Ja Ha in 1963, the sketch of Dispute became an independent program in 1972 and quickly became one of the classics of Argentine TV. The idea is to recreate a flustered or humorous talk about current politics, football, life, whatever, built between different voices which, in turn, represent certain sectors of society.
The first table consisted of Juan Carlos Altavista (Minguito Tinguitella), Jorge Porcel, Carlos Carella and Rodolfo Crespi. Behind the counter was “El gallego”, performed by Alberto Irizaraccompanied by his assistant, “El Preso”, in charge of Vincent LaRussa.
Over the years the program consolidated and his table became inevitable every evening, especially in times when there was a fight the huge Fidel Pintosmilitant of the “healed”, Adolfo García Grau and Javier Portales.
Another of the best remembered tables of these 60 years is the one made up of Jorge Porcel, Juan Carlos Altavista, Mario Sánchez, Julio de Grazia and Rolo Puente.
Modernized controversies
