The family of Halyna Hutchins requested by the authorities leave the circulation the videos in which the cinematographer appears in his last minutes of life after Alec Baldwin was accidentally shot in the filming of “Rust”.
In the letter, addressed to the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office (New Mexico, United States), the family’s attorney, Brian Panish, requested that “constitutional rights of dignity, privacy, respect and ethics”.
Hutchins’ relatives requested this after authorities released all files (videos, photos, messages …) related to the investigation of the incident on Monday.
“We request that your office remove the video of Halyna Hutchins dying on the floor.”the lawyer requested in the letter, which was released by local media on Thursday.

Also, the lawyer criticized that those responsible for the publication informed the wife of the deceased, matthew hutchinson the same day the documents were published, without giving him only a few hours to consult with them.
Because of the “excessive amount of material,” Panish said, and the “absolutely insufficient amount of time,” the family had no opportunity to “ask to use discretion and remove sensitive material.”
What the videos show
Santa Fe, United States sheriff Adam Mendoza explained earlier this week that his office had agreed to release all of those files when it received a “public record request”, for the sake of providing more “transparency” to the work of researchers.
Among the documents is a video where it can be seen, through cameras worn by agents in their uniforms, Hutchins lying on the ground as emergency crews try to save his life.
Interrogations were also published in which Baldwin and the other filming crew were subjected.

“While the damage caused by the publication of the video is irreversible, its removal will end his office’s complicity in causing further damage,” the lawyer concluded.
According to the Santa Fe First Judicial District Attorney’s Office, the investigation is still open and they are awaiting new reports from the sheriff’s office to review the evidence and make a decision on the criminal case.
On April 20, the New Mexico Occupational Safety and Health Administration fined the producer of “Rust” more than $ 135,000 for failing to comply with safety measures during filming. Origin of EFE.
