In very morning (El Trece, Monday to Friday at 9am) Carmen Barbieri I was speaking with Mercedes Ninci about the impact that the ten economic measures announced by Luis Caputo, the new Minister of Economy elected by Javier Milei, will have, when, in this context, Alberto Martín surprised the driver when he talks about his indignation at the minimum wage he receives as a pensioner.
“There was no thought of pensioners. The only thing that hasn’t been talked about are pensioners. The minimum pension for December, to be collected in January, will be $105,000. But it’s nothing, it’s a pittance. “A gallon of milk costs $560,” the actor complained.
And he added, speaking about the difficult situation in the newspaper: “In some supermarkets the products have appeared but without prices. You have to go to the price list to find out how much it costs. The increases are enormous, not to mention meat.”
“I want to know what the possibilities will be for a pensioner who earns 85 thousand pesos…”Martín wondered, worried about his current situation, but also that of others who experience a similar situation. Surprised, Carmen asked, “Do you charge for it?” To which Alberto replied: “Yes, I’ll charge you: 85 thousand pesos. Plus Marta’s pension, which is more or less the same. “I would have to live with that.”
Barbieri’s indignation at his speaker’s comment was present and he was able to express his solidarity and concern on air: “If you didn’t work in television, if you didn’t do anything else, you wouldn’t live with that…”.
The bond between Carmen Barbieri and Alberto Martín: is there more than a friendship?
Alberto Martín had a 47-year relationship with Marta, his wife, who died in June 2018 due to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis which left her bedridden for 10 years. In 2020, the actor joined the stage show 20 Millones and did a season with Carmen Barbieri in Mar del Plata.
That summer, when they were colleagues, the star and the heartthrob began a special friendship that still unites them today. And even if they never dared to take another step in the relationship, she admitted that she had experienced very beautiful situations with Santiago Bal’s ex-partner.
“When Santiago and my wife were already dead, we went to Mar del Plata with the comedy 20 million. At the end of one of the last rehearsals we suddenly found ourselves alone in the theater room. The rest of the cast had already left and “So we decided to go to dinner alone. That could be the first image of a story…” Alberto recalled in an interview given last year.
Martín, in fact, recalled a situation that happened on stage with the comedian: “In the final scene of the show, I decided to give him a ‘peck’. A lot of things happened. And I didn’t know what to do with this. The first thing I “I thought was: Carmen is not a racing woman, she doesn’t deserve something like that. Maybe I was too cautious or careful or scared.”
“That’s why everything stayed there. Today I think he probably expected me to move on. Maybe by being too respectful we missed out on living a great love story,” admitted the speaker of very morning (The Thirteen).
And he concluded: “From that moment on, except when we had personal commitments that could not be postponed, we ate together all season. We talked and talked and so I began to know things about her, through her, that I didn’t know.” “I don’t know, and I decided to advise her. “I discovered a terribly hard-working, very loyal woman, to whom a lot of bad things had happened, from administrative and commercial to personal.”
