A month after the death of his mother, Laura, Dario Barassi (40) visited his grave accompanied by his wife, “Luli” Gómez Centurión, and his two daughters, Emilia and Inés Barassi.
On his Instagram account, the driver Now I’m falling (El Trece) shared postcards of the emotional family moment they shared in San Juan, her hometown, and added a heartbreaking text, which adds to the open letter he published to say goodbye.
“First month. It hurts and feels like it will hurt for a long time. I feel free, full and happy. But he is not there and selfishness and need weigh heavily”, began Barassi in his publication, remembering his mother, who died of pancreatic cancer.
“This is what we came for. All four of us needed to be there, with her, to talk to her, for my daughters to sing, play, greet her in their own way since they hadn’t done so yet. Proud and in love with my women. Thank you eternally for being like you @luligomezcenturion,” he noted.
“Pipi came and went. She sang, tidied up everything, put flowers, crosses, brought water, left her stuffed cat Sofi to take care of her. I wondered why he was crying and jumping on me and hugging me. “She thanked me for bringing her here and apologized for not believing that Grandma Lala was no longer here,” Barassi added, detailing how her eldest daughter experienced that moment.
And then he explained about his youngest daughter: “Inés María sat next to me the whole time, serious, with giant eyes. Attentive and sweet. He took out his pacifier and gave it to me. He pooped sitting on the grave next to it, which was my grandfather’s. I laughed. “She IS all that cute, gregarious fat woman.”
“My huge, all-encompassing wife. Me, them, my old lady. Pillar of my life,” Barassi said.
