Divididos closes the year with big surprises: an album recorded live in Vélez and the announcement of his return to Obras

To crown a great year of their long career, the group Divided has just surprised his fans with the release of a live album called Divided into Vélez – Give thanks and followrecorded in their historic concert on May 13th at the José Amalfitani stadium.

The recital was very special because it marked the band’s return to Vélez after 29 years. Incidentally, the idea was to celebrate the 35-year history of the currently formed trio Ricardo Mollo, Diego Arnedo and Catriel Ciaravella.

A historical recital

On May 13, Divividos played in front of more than 50,000 fans and performed all their classic songs for three hours. Moreover, They had the luxury of inviting La Renga playing live, which hadn’t happened for a long time because the band always had a negative response from the authorities to performing a show in the city of Buenos Aires.

Other guests were Gustavo Santaolalla with violinist Javier Casalla (they did You see?), the Catamarca singer Nadia Larcher (Tucuman Wind) and Leticia Lee (Poppy ’66).

Furthermore, earlier this month, Divididos also announced four shows at Obras, on the days it will be held 19 and 20 January and 23 and 24 Februaryentitled “Return”.

The so-called “Temple of Rock” was a very frequented stage for the trio during their first twenty years of career, starting from August 1989 (when they released their debut album 40 drawings there on the floor) until October 2008.
