The singer, born Kim Seok-jin, shared a video on YouTube’s YouTube page this afternoon. bts to wish fans a happy new year and tell them to be patient as he completes his mandatory military service in South Korea.

“Did you all make a snowman? I’m still in the past so I don’t know if it snows or not, but if it snows you have to make a snowman and be a child again and have snowball fights,” she said, playing with a doll.

She continued: “I leave you this video so you can see my cute and attractive face and spend January and February with pleasure. I miss you all. I miss you a lot. Wait a little longer and you can see me with short hair. My hair will grow fast this year and I can start working hard soon. Guys, wait a few more months. Now that it’s a new year, we still have a few months left. Make lots of snowmen and think of me while you make them… I’ll be back in February and March, until then, goodbye!”

Military service

Jin is gone the first member of the group to enlist in the South Korean military as part of the country’s requirement that men over the age of 18 serve 18 months in the military.

He entered the Army on December 12, 2022 and is expected to complete his service in June 2024. All members of BTS are currently enlisted and the group plans to meet again for group activities in 2025.

South Korea’s parliament passed a bill in 2020 allowing pop stars, or those who “excel in popular culture and art,” to defer their service until age 30.

This has been long awaited by BTS fans.

Jin in Argentina
