Before Ducks!the feature film itself, there is a short one, a long one, with a protagonist servantstitled Moody. And when the Universal logo arrives, the “duck” music will be heard: another Illumination Studios joke.

The film follows a family of ducks living in New England, with an extremely cautious father, Mack (voiced by Kumail Nanjiani) and a more adventurous mother, Pam (voiced by Elizabeth Banks). The point is, of course, that they can’t agree on how to raise their ducklings, teenager Dax (voiced by Caspar Jennings) and Gwen (voiced by Tresi Gazal).

Scared, Mack managed to keep his little family trapped in the same pond for generations. Pam struggles with the desire to fly with her flock (“I want to go out and see the world,” she says), and when a flock of migrating ducks arrives at the family pond, what everyone expects happens. The kids will want to go with them.

OK, the teenage duckling falls in love with one of the migratory birds and old Uncle Dan (voiced by Danny DeVito). And it has been said that he flies.

The migration mentioned in the original title of the film directed by Benjamin Renner shifts the compass towards the North, so yes, it is possible that they reach New York.

And they do it. There are contrasts between what they experience in the countryside and finding themselves in a city they don’t understand. They will meet a heron (voiced by Carol Kane) and a pigeon, Chump (voiced by Awkwafina), who fearlessly guides his flock, and a parrot, but the idea is to go to a tropical paradise, a dream island. Yes: it’s Jamaica.

Of course you need a villain, and if it’s ducks, how about a chef, whose menu includes duck a l’orange…

An unmistakable style

Produced by Illumination Studios, same My favorite villain AND servantsthe chef follows Gru’s creative style (thin legs, disproportionate body. He is half crazy (well, whether Gru is crazy is a matter of debate) and doesn’t speak (Gru does it up to his elbows). be an inspired duck farm, obviously, a Chicken racing.

Colorful characters, from those who created the Minions.Colorful characters, from those who created the Minions.

Fun but without exaggerating, Ducks! It’s a good idea to take the little ones to the cinema. The optimism that prevails among the characters is also a quality to be enhanced.

At Cinépolis Recoleta they give it subtitled and you can hear the original voices there.

Please.
