No doubt Big Brother changes the lives of the participants. Sometimes for better and sometimes for worse.
There are well-known stories of those who passed through that house and then were unable to handle the fame or of those who gave in when they saw that the expectations they had (usually a life full of fame, visibility and work in the media) were not being met. .
And there are also those who have taken advantage of the popularity gained with the program and have become artists, actresses, models, media and even journalists. And, above all, they have found the formula to remain in the media over the years.
But the truth is that the most famous reality show in the world not only changes the lives of the ‘little brothers’ but also of your family, your partners and your friends, to those who have always known them and who accompanies them day by day.
Are they I’m behind the cameras, suffering when they see that participants are missing or are victims of abuse at home.
Even those who are happy, those who wait for them, those who cheer from the stands at every gala, those who manage their own social networks, chat with fans, give notes and take care of their pets.
Furthermore, it should be noted that the participants’ popularity also transfers to their closest circle and suddenly their loved ones also become protagonists: they recognize them on the street, send them thousands of messages and, sometimes, become the target of offenses and abuse. ‘hate’ which abounds on the networks these days.
María del Rosario Sosa Unzaga he is the one who is in relationship with Martín Ku and, in dialogue with Clarion he talks about the happiness he felt when it was confirmed that “Chino” would be part of this edition Big Brother.
Additionally, you have expectations about how your life will change after this experience.
“When he told me he had been selected I cried with happiness. I was very, very happy for him. I think that It was a dream for both of us because we also know that, God willing, good things will come with all this. And also seeing him, realizing a dream, which is to be in front of the camera, having people talk about him, I experience it with an emotion, as if it were almost mine”, explains María.
But there is also the less beautiful part, that is when the participants are having fun at home or when they are the target of attacks.
“I’m almost like a lioness bride. I would jump in and defend him because other than that he remains silent. He doesn’t say anything. I would jump in and defend him. But hey, I also understand that it’s already big. He knows how to defend himself. If he doesn’t say anything, it must be about something,” he reveals.
Beyond everything you see on the screen, there is behind the scenes, the entire organization… Martín’s parents live in Viedma and María is the link between the production and the participant’s environment , it is she who is constantly in contact with the production of the program.
“The production workers are divine. There is one person who constantly contacts me to put together the list to go on the platform“, says Maria. Furthermore, she says that for each program more than 10 people who come from the “little brother” environment can participate.
But the production not only contacts her for the list for the platform, but also does so to ask her something about her partner: “For example, when Martín won the first leadership test, they asked me what team he was from and how they gave him the prize is the shirt signed by Chiquito Romero. “He IS a Boca fan, he loves Boca.”
Sudden fame also comes with some benefits. This is the case of brands that approach because they want to offer an exchange to participants. But obviously I am incommunicado. For this reason they turn to relatives to send them clothes and it is they who send them to production so that they can bring them home. So brands can upload photos to their networks showing the “little brothers” wearing clothes from their collection.
Plus there’s everything that’s left out: bills to pay, rent… It is known to the public that every week participants receive money for being part of it Big Brother, a sort of salary. According to Clarín it is a sum of 50 thousand pesos a week.
Martín Ku’s girlfriend explains: “At the beginning, as soon as the casting starts and you are already emerging as someone who could enter the house, they start warning you about three months in advance.”
And he specifies: “They tell you: “Go sort out the rent and bills. How will you do? How will you organize yourself if you join Big Brother? Because this is what we are moving away from. You come into the house and you’re at home and what happens outside is your business.’”
“Alright, We, the family, are responsible for all of this.at least in my case.” Furthermore, she clarifies that Martín’s cell phone was left in her custody but she saved it and turned it off.
Also, of course, there are social networks. “To Martino The networks are run by a friend and I help her a little. I try not to help her so much so as not to see so many bad things, comments, what people say”, the interviewee is honest.
And he continues: “In reality they receive more positive things, but I don’t know why it’s always possible that you read a hundred good things and keep the only negative one you read and it hurts you because it’s someone I love.” and you think why is there so much evil out there? Because it’s not like they tell him little things, they tell him bad things.”
But those messages don’t just reach Martín’s accounts. Many also write to their girlfriends.
“My life remains the same. But what yes, Many people talk to me, people who don’t know me, who want to send me gifts, who want to interview me. There are also the negative things I just told you, but I handle them calmly. I don’t know, I don’t know why, because since I was a child I have always loved watching TV. So I feel like I know how to handle myself well and calmly. So I have fun, I have a lot of fun,” says María.
“I really try, but I’m a 27-year-old girl who’s new to all this. A month ago all this craziness started and suddenly people who don’t know me are saying things to me. It’s funny, I didn’t get to the point of getting sick, but I got to the point of thinking ‘what’s going on?’ They don’t know me, they don’t know Martín,’” she will say later.
And he explains: “I try not to answer them because I feel that if I do I give them an identity and maybe that’s what they’re looking for, to make me feel bad and I don’t want to give them the pleasure or last thing, I feel bad, but don’t tell Nobody.” .
It should be noted that a video went viral this week Rosina, the Uruguayan, embraces the Chinese. Following these images, many criticized María and offensive messages abounded on the networks.
In this regard, María says: “I took it well because other than that, what would I have done before? If I hadn’t caught her, the girl would have exploded on the floor. Secondly, I take this with humor, because It makes me laugh when people tell me “you’re a conscious cuckold”“.
“The truth is, it doesn’t bother me, because I know what my boyfriend is like. I know he’s a wonderful person, who has friends. I love him. The truth is, thank God we have a super healthy relationship, otherwise I couldn’t have it in there at home Big Brother“, He explains.
And he adds: “In fact, in the last stages of casting it was as if Martín had been asked. They told him ‘look, some very pretty girls will come, won’t your girlfriend get jealous? And he told them, ‘No, my boyfriend won’t mind, it’s never been a problem.’”
The truth is that, for better or for worse, Big Brother It is a program that opens doors for those unknown people who suddenly have the chance to become mega famous. Of course, fame brings with it many good things and many not-so-good things, but it is up to each participant and the attitude of those around them to know how to turn this into something good.
What there is no doubt about is that reality shows generate things, they touch and change the ‘little brothers’, but also their families and viewers.
