Adam Harrison, one of the sons of Rick Harrison, the main presenter of the popular American television program “The Price of History”, was found dead and according to initial information the cause of death was a drug overdose.
His father, who has become a popular figure on cable television around the world thanks to the History Channel program that tells the daily story of his Las Vegas pawn shop, greeted him with a photo and a short message on his Instagram account.
“You will always be in my heart! I love you, Adam”he wrote.
“Our family is extremely saddened by Adam’s death. We ask for respect for privacy as we mourn his loss,” the Harrison family said in a statement to celebrity site Page Six via Rick’s representative.
The three generations of the Harrison family and “Chumlee” Russell, the historical hosts of “The Price of History”.The exact circumstances of the death, although it is known to have been due to drug abuse, are still unclear and the Harrison family have remained strictly silent on the details of the death.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said they are investigating the case, which may shed light on the circumstances of Adam’s death.
Unlike his older brother Corey, who has been a major figure in The Price Story since its inception in 2009, Adam has remained much further away from the family business, the famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop.
Despite this, he worked as a clerk at the store – founded by his grandfather and Rick’s father, Richard “The Old Man” Harrison – before it began to gain the fame it has now.
Subsequently, he decided not to follow the same path as his family. According to some American media, Adam dedicated himself to plumbing after working in the family business, keeping away from the fame of his father and brother Corey.
Corey and Adam are the children Rick Harrison had with his first wife, Kim. He also has a son with his second wife, Tracy.
