This January 29th Susana Giménez turns 80. And Telefe has decided to pay homage to the diva with a special video featuring Mirtha Legrand.
Just a minute after midnight, Santiago del Moro ended the broadcast of Big Brother sending his regards to Susana.
“We wish a happy birthday to one of the fundamental pillars of this channel. Yours, best wishes”Del Moro said.
And then Telefe aired the clip that begins with Mirtha’s voice.
“There are proper names, names that are never forgotten, names that resonate in everyone’s emotional memory, names shared by many, but which a particular person makes them unique… There are all kinds of names, but only one Susana.”says La Chiqui praising her friend.
The video continues with different moments from Susana’s excellent career, with greater emphasis on her Hello Susana!
And then we continue with a fragment of Susana’s speech at the latest Martin Fierro awards.
“I can’t believe what I did, it’s a lot… It just flew by. Enjoy your life. I’ve had a fabulous life and I hope to continue to have it for a few more years.. Thanks for so much love. I thank you for welcoming me into your homes. It’s very emotional for me,” Su can be heard saying, his voice cracking.
And finally Mirtha closes: “Happy birthday dear friend. I have always loved you and will love you all my life. Teresa, La Chiqui Legrand.”
Mirtha Legrand revealed what makes Susana Giménez complex
In her program, Mirtha greeted her friend. “Happy birthday to my dear friend Susana Giménez, her birthday is Monday the 29th, unfortunately I won’t be able to go”, referring to the celebration that she will hold in Punta del Este, Uruguay.
Then, the presenter explained a curiosity: “Do you know that for the French the number 80 doesn’t exist? Quatre-vingts equals four times 20… therefore four times 20, Susana, because it is with the 80 complex”.

The host sent best wishes to the diva, including a joke for her 80th birthday.
“As my sister always said: ‘Obey or die, so you better obey,’ that’s very good,” the luncheon diva advised Giménez, so as not to be mean for reaching that age.
