There is a general consensus on the favorites and possible surprises in the main categories. That means:

Billie Eilish and Finneas – “What was I created for?”

Victoria Monét – “On My Mama”

Olivia Rodrigo – “Vampire”

Taylor Swift – “Antihero”

SZA – “Kill Bill”

Who will win: most voters probably saw it Barbie and they fell in love with it What was I created for?. That’s why it’s a favorite.

Who should win: flowers by Cyrus is a powerful song that set a record on Spotify by reaching a billion streams faster than any other song on the platform.

The doubt: Eilish has already won Record of the Year twice, but this is Swift’s fifth nomination in the category without a win.

Miley Cyrus – “Endless Summer Vacation”

Lana Del Rey – “Did you know there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd”

Who will win: The Grammys won’t miss the chance to ride Swift’s 2023 wave, which included two No. 1 albums. 1, a hit film and the highest-grossing tour of all time.

Who should win: SOS. by SZA is arguably the group’s best album, but if Beyoncé can’t break the album of the year barrier, SZA can’t either.

The doubt: Swift could break the record for most album of the year wins by an artist. She is currently tied with Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and Paul Simon with three.

Who will win: Eilish won song and record of the year in 2020 and will definitely do so again in 2024.

Who should win: Kill BillSZA’s original song about murdering an ex that reached No. 1. It’s a relatable breakup anthem that performed impressively on the charts.

The doubt: Keep in mind that the Record of the Year category is for the performer, while Song of the Year is for the composer.

The war and the treaty

Who will win: Monét is the only nominee in one of the other four major categories.

Who should win: Jelly Roll has a great history behind him and will likely be a figure in country music for years to come.

The doubt: This is a battle between Ice Spice, the biggest new rapper of the year, and Monét, the most critically acclaimed artist.
