Bruce Springsteen, Ronnie Wood, Eric Clapton, Sting AND Ringo Starr They are among 54 rock superstars who have come together for a special recording of the song Coming Home: Local Hero Themeby Mark Knopfler, for charity.
Others also contributed to this nine-minute song, such as David Gilmour, Brian May AND Pete Townshend.
The song opens with the last recording the legendary guitarist left during his lifetime. Jeff Beck.
Some musicians recorded in person at British Grove Studios in west London, while others sent in contributions from around the world.

The goal is raise funds for the organization that fights adolescent cancer Teenage Cancer Trust and for the US version of this entity, Teen Cancer America.
The guitar companies also donated eight instruments to be autographed by the artists and added to the fundraiser at an auction.
The leader of the Who, Roger Daltreyhonorary patron of the Teenage Cancer Trust, provided harmonica, while Ringo Starr contributed drums alongside his son, Zak Starkey, while Sting contributed bass.
When it is published
The song will be released on March 15th under the name “Guitar Heroes” by Mark Knopfler, and the cover is an illustration by the legendary Peter Blake, who made a kind of replica of the Beatles album cover Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Bandsince 1967.

The recordings were co-released by Knopfler’s former bandmate and frequent Dire Straits collaborator, Guy Fletcher.
“I would like to thank everyone,” Knopfler wrote in a statement. “Guy and I quickly realized that we needed to somehow expand the song to accommodate everyone’s contributions.”
Fletcher added: “What I really want to do, more than anything, is just thank everyone for this excellent response.”
The origin of the song
The 1983 film She localor, with Burt Lancaster, it was Knopfler’s first film as a film composer and earned him a nomination for the Bafta, the British Oscar.
