The controversial phrase that Dylan León Masa, better known as Dillom, launched at the Cosquín Rock festival indicating that the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, must be “killed in the Plaza”, continues to widen the rift.
Now, it was Andrés Calamaro who supported the young beggar, saying that “he is the best current artist” and that “he has the right to say what he wants”. After several spicy posts, the former Grandfather of Nothing also stated that Argentines “don’t even care how much the ticket goes up”.
“Let’s not pretend that we care who wins the election, whether they killed John Lennon, or who won Taylor Pfizer’s super bowl last night, or how much the bus fare costs,” Calamaro asked after several posts critical of the his defense of the rap singer.

It all started on Saturday at Dillom’s presentation. There, the trapper performed the song Las Manos de Filippi, which Bersuit Vergarabat later popularized with his censored version of “Sr. Cobranza”.
But the young artist brought him back to the current times: “I move here, I move there, they have to kill Caputo in the square”, he changed.
In the original song released in the mid-1990s, there was a deep criticism of Carlos Menem’s management and, in the part used by Dillom, aimed directly at Domingo Cavallo after his first stint at the Ministry of Economy. “Norma Plá must kill Cavallo”, was the sentence that completed the first verse of the original.
The truth is that after several conflicting positions, especially online, it was Andrés Calamaro who supported the stop, posting on X: “Dillom is the best current artist and the best as a person. He’s Hip Hop and Rock, he has to say that he wants, to like and to offend. Plus he’s 22. He has to say what he wants without thinking, let what he wants come out,” he said.

The “Mille Ore” creator defended “freedom of expression” and followed up with a post defending Dillom.
“We know that offending the government is not a real act of rebellion; the rock musicians didn’t even bother the armed forces; those of us who received mistreatment were from the public and came in groups. But Dillom has a lot of aesthetic, conceptual and philosophical content. Rock”, continued Calamaro.

“Rock absorbs and delivers: blues, reggae, pop, Latin vibes and hip hop. The Beastie Boys and RUN DMC existed 40 years ago, no one has to show the audience what it’s about. It’s easy for the rock audience to chat with a rock attitude , speaking badly and making soft music,” wrote El Salmón.
Dillom rose to fame in 2018 with the song Drippin, which he produced. Then followed Superglue, together with the musician Ill Quentín, and their session with Bizarrap. Last year the city government also distinguished him as an “outstanding cultural personality”.
Complaint against Dillom
Judicial sources have confirmed that the lawyer Jorge Monastersky has filed criminal charges against the beggar for his “incitement” at the Córdoba popular festival.
“The statements are extremely serious. Freedom of expression has limits and they are clear, the law, the illegality, the criminal typology which I understand has been established and must be investigated by the judiciary,” she said in a writing.
And he added: “It seems from several sayings that with crystal clear incitement to violence, they would look for an individual to make an attempt on the life of a public official”, due to the mention of the death of “Totò” Caputo in the text.
