María Eugenia Ritó’s harsh testimony about her strong past with drugs: “I was dead…”

This Tuesday, Maria Eugenia Rito reappeared publicly and gave an emotional interview THEY (America, Monday to Friday at 8pm), where he talked about how he overcame addictions and severe depression in his life.

“A lot of things happened to me and well, the day came when I said, I have to reappear. Of all things, first because I had separated and then “I had the problem of addiction, which everyone knows, of depression.”the ex-vedette began to say.

“Let’s stop in the depression for a while. How did it start? What happened to you? “What did you feel?”, asked him Ángel de Brito, driver of the bicycle.

“What happened to me happens to any human being, years pass and you lead a lifestyle that you get used to, which is the most logical thing. I’m referring to this standard of living from the artistic to the economic. “, Eugenia said.

It was there that the journalist mentioned the separation from her husband, Marcelo Salinas, as something decisive in her descent into excess. “Definitely. I separated and I was alone, but I had the support of my little sister for a long time, I love her and she is my only family. Even my brother-in-law and my friends. It is important to be accompanied”, she underlined.

“I’ve distanced myself from a lot of things, it’s day by day. Today I am in therapy, I was hospitalized because I needed it because you can’t do it alone”, she continued, visibly moved.

Then, the actress revealed with a broken voice: “I was dead.” And she added with anguish: “I can assure you that I was dead. It takes away your soul, it takes away your life, you stop being yourself. I asked God, what happened to me is that I couldn’t go back to the center because I opened the window, I looked in the mirror and it happened to me that he told me ‘I have two eyes, two legs, crazy I went out for a walk ‘, but I couldn’t.”

At one point in the interview, Ritó revealed that she didn’t even want to return to TV due to the stigma she had around her body. “I called you and you told me: ‘wait, I have to lose five kilos’, but you are not your kilos,” recalls Ángel. Something she agreed with: “That’s right, I’m a human being, I have cellulite, the train, the differential train and the bullet happened to me.”
