“I have many friends who live these types of stories,” reveals the actress regarding the germ of this show that she shows the reconstruction of a woman after leaving a conflictual relationship.

“The protagonist is a girl in love with love. She is very sensitive, very emotional and very crazy. she fell in love a boy who cheated on her, mistreated her, suffered gender violence and she, after four years, will understand that that man is an idiot and she will begin to rediscover herself, to reconnect with who she was before this connection. Becoming a warrior and not a submissive idiot,” describes Alex.

“This is not a feminist comedy”, clarifies and adds: “It’s a female comedy. I believe that everyone should have their place, in their genre. You don’t have to take the man’s place. The most important thing is to find the right man”.

Love when no one expects it

-Many describe you as a girl worthy of Almodóvar, but French and talented. Do you identify with that reference?

-The protagonist of the work has a small excess of her personality. Overflowing. You are very excessive and have a very leonine energy from me. There is a lot of my world, which is not Almodóvar’s, but has points in common. It’s my world, it’s Alex’s madness. And this too, my way of telling with a certain cruelty and cynicism. The reference to Almodóvar was also told to me by Lía Jélín when we started working on the show.

-And what was the dynamic like with her?

-Lía Jelín is special, she has an inner richness, wisdom, generosity. She is my theater godmother here. I am very grateful for having such a special relationship with her and for her contributions his eagle gaze, so precise and intelligent in my show.

-You talked about finding the right man. Do you think you found it in Minino?

-Absolutely. I am very, very grateful because this relationship is a godsend. I have many friends who are godly, professional, cute, young and lonely. And I don’t understand. It happens often in global society. There are many single hearts, so this is a gift. And when people ask me, how long have you been with Pussycat? A lot, but as if it were yesterday. My story is simple. Fall in love with love, yes, but with love.

-And how did the meeting go?

-At a party with friends in Paris. The truth is, I never intended to get married, have kids, a house, a dog, anything. But completely the opposite happened. We don’t want to have children, but we have the rest. Dog, house… E With him I discovered Argentina and fell in love with Buenos Aires.. Right now I’m here alone and he’s in Europe for three months, because he’s very settled there. But we come and go. We try to be together six months a year and when that happens we are very close, but then we lose each other.

An enterprising woman

Alex is always creating. During the pandemic, settled in Buenos Aires, he decided to explore new languages and created, produced and directed a web miniseries, The mares of Palermo. Now, in addition to doing theater, he writes reviews for a French digital publication that is published in Argentina and columns in the magazine Marie Claire.

“This is a luxury, it is an internal, intellectual and creative gymnastics,” he says. For her everything is a challenge and every expression is directed in the same direction, to get closer to that light that dazzled her so much as a little girl.

-Did you study Political Science, when did you discover that yours was on the side of expression?

-I studied by mistake, to reassure my family. I come from a family that has nothing to do with art. I’m the black sheep. I grew up in a very structured environment, where art had no place. But my parents told me that before I spoke I was already singing. I grew up with No. “Don’t do this, don’t do that”. And with every no I revealed myself and said I would do it anyway. I wasn’t a warrior, but I always knew what I wanted.

-You have brothers?

-Yes. I have an older brother who is a lawyer. Which is really in line with what my family is, luckily. But My big hurt is that my parents never saw me on stage.. I lost them recently and they never saw me. It wasn’t something they appreciated and they never fully approved of my choice.

-And what was your first contact with art?

-It was my grandmother who took me to the theater for the first time. I I discovered that I am a cheerful girl. Leo ascendant Leonine. I can’t stand the darkness. I am a girl who goes towards the light. So I think what I saw in the theater, what I heard on television, was the light, the brightness of the stage. I felt attracted like a butterfly. And I said, “That’s a place.” I want the light, that light.
