Facundo Calvo (25), the son of the remembered Carlos “Carlin” Calvo (1953-2020), spoke with an open heart about his father’s death and told how he experienced mourning.
The young man, who followed in his father’s footsteps and is also an actor, gave an interview to the NET TV series Between us, led by Tomás Dente.
There, Facu acknowledged that after the departure of his father, who died in 2020 at the age of 67 due to several health problems, consequences of two cerebrovascular accidents (CVA) that he had suffered in 1999 and 2010, She felt “more peace than pain” and was grateful for the time she was able to spend with him.
Furthermore, he told what he learned through the difficult and sad time he experienced due to the artist’s death.
“I think it taught me to take the good and the bad. Because even though he was bad since I was 10, I’m grateful that I didn’t lose him at that age, because afterwards there were also very beautiful years in which I accompanied him. Maybe I was more like his father,” the interviewee explained.
And he explains: “We enjoyed the World Cup together and other things and that… Counting the good and the bad, living with both.”
“On one side, I’m not afraid of death. I feel like, fortunately, in the moments that I’ve been close to that, I honestly get to try to see it as life and appreciate the good, what they’ve given me,” Facundo acknowledged.
Although he admitted that perhaps it is a form of “denial”.
“The day my old man died it was more peace than pain because I feel it did him good.”. She didn’t want him anymore. And for us too”, he was sincere in his dialogue with Dente. And he observed: “Fortunately, the cases of death I suffered could have been predicted.”

In December 2020, just over three years ago, the news of Carlos “Carlín” Calvo’s death was announced and, a few hours later, Facundo published a touching farewell message online.
On his Instagram account, where he has more than 20 thousand followers, Facu shared a series of postcards in which he was seen with his father and added some words of gratitude and thanks.
“Well, old boy, the day has come. To tell you that you are the person I have admired most in my life, that I have loved most in my life.”. You fought until the end for us and I will always thank you for this,” Facu began writing.
He continued, “I know you’re in a better place and rest in peace, that you deserved it. I hope you’re always proud of me. I love you, dad!”
The publication garnered more than 15,000 likes and was full of comments in which his followers sent him support in that special moment.
