Vittoria Vannucci She arrived today, Monday, in Argentina, from the United States, the country where she lives, and told the story of the drama she experienced with her ex-husband and father of her two children. Matias Garfunkel.
At Ezeiza International Airport, Vannucci was approached by a journalist from Show partners (El Trece, 10.30 am), the series hosted by Adrián Pallares and Rodrigo Lussich. In that dialogue, the former tennis player who now dedicates herself to gastronomy, spoke, without hesitation, of the hell she experienced when her ex-husband did not allow her to see the two children they have in common: Napoleon and Indiana .
It should be remembered that Vannucci and Garfunkel had a very contentious divorce two years ago. The whole family lived in Miami, but he decided to move to Israel and brought his two children with him.
She then refused to bring her children to the United States so they could see their mother. Justice, in the end, ruled in Victoria’s favour, but in the meantime she not only went through the traumatic situation of being separated from her children but also spent a night in prison following a false complaint from her ex-partner.
The entire situation was public and much commented on social networks. So, when the notary of Show partners Asked how the situation is now with her ex-husband and children, Victoria was not surprised. “You prioritize your children and I leave the past in the past and try to look forward for the sake of my children,” she replied.
“Okay now, why had your ex-partner taken your children away…?”, they remembered. “It was something extraordinary,” he admitted.
But he clarified: “We must also understand that there is an illness… Of course it was terrible. But I don’t want my children to be angry with me because I was very bad. Now, the relationship we have is solely due to the kids. And she’s very respectful. Or at least from me, it’s very respectful.”
Grateful, Victoria said: “I want to tell all the women, all the journalists and all the Argentinians that if it hadn’t been for you, it wouldn’t have been so easy for me and I would have suffered a lot…” These are people who don’t have those contacts. and that diffusion. I am deeply grateful to my country and to my family who accompanied me minute after minute, because the truth is that I really had a bad time.”
“The journalists acted in good faith and helped me recover my children faster. So I will be eternally grateful,” she added.
Victoria Vannucci: “I never imagined spending a night in jail”
“Of all the experiences I could have had, this was the most difficult of all -continued Vannucci-. And the worst thing is that I know that there are women who don’t have that strength, those contacts… I can’t even imagine it, because the hardest thing that can happen to you is having a child.”
“Are the kids okay after experiencing this?” they asked him. “Yes,” he replied. Thank God, Indiana and Napoleon I’m with my mother, they are happy. We’re trying to get them to process what happened and understand what’s going on. But we will try to handle it as a team as best we can. What interests me is that my children grow up happy.“.
When they brought her to remember what she had suffered, Vannucci replied: “I was in prison, it was terrible. First of all, I couldn’t stop crying. I was shocked. You have to understand that When there is bipolarity at that level and the trigger (emotional trigger) goes off, there is no way to stop it unless there is medication“.
“It was very strong for me,” he said. “I never expected it. I never imagined I would spend a night in prison.. I did nothing but cry, because I didn’t understand anything. Luckily, later, things were reversed because they gave me the opportunity to show a reality which, of course, would never be shown. But unfortunately I found myself in that position.”
“There, The judge noticed this and dropped all charges. and they took care of him (Garfunkel) a little bit, who has his own situations,” Victoria Vannucci added.
