Five years after the tragic accident of Sergio Denis, his daughter remembered him and asked for justice

On March 11, 2019, Sergio Denis (1949-2020) suffered a tragic accident that kept him hospitalized for 14 months until his death on May 15, 2020. While none of his children have stopped calling for justice, now, Bárbara Hoffmann appeared on her networks demanding that the case be elevated to an oral trial.

Five years ago Denis gave a show at the Mercedes Sosa theater in Tucumán. As he sings on stage, preparing to sing the song “I’m Calling to Say Hello”, The artist stumbled and fell almost three meters into the orchestra pit deep.

Sergio Denis’ daughter’s request for justice

This March 11th marks five years since that tragic day that changed the life of a family forever. On this sad anniversary, His daughter Bárbara took to social media to remember her father and once again demand justice for his death..

“What makes artists great is that every time they leave, they somehow… come back,” she wrote in the caption of the emotional video. “I have many memories imprinted in my memory and heart. Of shows, applause, laughter and happiness. In many, I was a girl and inside The lights went out on stage and only silence remained and I thought he would never come out again.that the show was over. But it always surprised me and I came back. Over and over and over,” she wrote on her Instagram account.

“This is how I think of you now, that you always come back… If you are truly the person you scream for, if you are truly the moment; Maybe you can clarify this doubt that I’ve had all my life. How early is early? It was too early“, he concluded in the message that served to remember the artist.

However, in the video, Bárbara became serious in asking for the case to be brought forward to justice. “We as a family like this, the people who followed him, like all his fans, we asked for justice. The only breakthrough in the case came in December 2023, when Raúl Armisen, who was and still is the director of the theater, was finally called to testify,” he began.

He continued: “This is all we have today and What we need is for the case to be brought to oral trial and for a satisfactory answer to be given in 2024 after five years.. I appreciate and appreciate all the messages that come to us both from journalism and its people. And that his music, his songs continue to be heard, which is what he would have wanted.”
