“Weird: The ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic Story” still doesn’t have a set date to premiere in Brazil
Daniel Radcliffe (the “Harry Potter” saga) surprised many by appearing as the musician and comedian “Weird Al” Yankovic, in the first teaser of the biopic titled “Weird: The ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic Story”. The unprecedented preview was released on May 3, and shows the star in several fun and humorous performances.

According to the Variety, the film will be Roku’s first biopic and will be available to stream exclusively on The Roku Channel. Himself Yankovic co-wrote the film’s screenplay with Eric Appel (“Linclone”), which is also expected to direct the project.
“Weird Al” Yankovic is the best-selling comedy artist of all time and a five-time Grammy Award winner. “Mandatory Fun” was the first comedy album in history to debut at number one on the Billboard Top 200 chart.
Alongside Radcliffe, the cast of the conebiography also has Evan Rachel Wood (“Westworld”), as the pop diva Madonna; Rainn Wilson (“The Office”) will be the radio DJ Dr. Dement; Julianne Nicholson (“Mare of Easttown”) will play the mother of Weird Al; and Toby Huss (“Halt and Catch Fire”) will be the musician’s father.
In Brazil, “Weird: The ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic Story” has not yet had a release date.
