“Multiverse of Madness” hits theaters this Thursday, May 5

According to the critics’ consensus, the sequel “works under the weight of the sprawling MCU, but Sam Raimi’s distinctive direction casts a fun spell”, informs the vehicle. Check out some reviews:
“Leaning into the secondary kitsch of a superhero movie about a flying magician in an anthropomorphic cape, Raimi – in a wonderful act of cinematic sleight of hand – pulled a fluffy rabbit out of an old Disney hat.” – Scott Greenstone, Seattle Times.
“A Marvel entry aimed at mega-fans, but with intriguing nuances and moments of emotional power.” – Rafer Guzman, newsday.
“Sam Raimi marries his macabre sensibility with his love of the wild possibilities of comics to create a Marvel movie that is expansive, ambitious and overwhelming.” – Wenlei Ma, news.com.au.
“Multiverse of Madness launches its characters from one reality to another, eliminating the blandness of its opening snippet and giving Raimi, God bless him, space to do things his own way. As the film unfolds, hiring of Raimi is increasingly inspired.” – Richard Lawson, vanity fair.
“Multiverse of Madness is stuffed with the usual fan bait, but it’s also undeniably a Sam Raimi movie, and remarkably good at it.” – david sims, The Atlantic.
“Expecting viewers’ appreciation of characters’ motivation to be based on media prerequisites that they haven’t consumed fully – or dutifully – enough is not just a bad feeling. It seems unfair.” – Michael O’Sullivan, Washington Post.

Peter parker (Tom Holland), “Spider-Man: No Homecoming”, in which Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) helps make the world forget the hero’s true identity.
