The court found that Xu’s crime was particularly serious because “premeditation, the use of poison, the despicable motive (work disagreements) and the serious consequences” (death and several poisonings).
Xu and Lin had conflicts over business management issues, their salary, and Yao’s position in the company.according to the ruling.
According to the investigation, Xu Yao poisoned Lin’s food in his office and attempted to poison other colleagues as well, between September and December 2020, managing to poison four people.
