After the new DC schedule, “Shazam! The Wrath of the Gods” was the only one to do well and to be brought forward, while all the others that were scheduled for 2022, were postponed. At first, the character played by Johnson should have appeared in “Shazam”, a 2019 feature starring Zachary Levibut was eventually replaced by Dr. Sivana (Mark Strong) and cast in a solo film, which is expected to introduce the Justice Society, DC’s first superhero group.
