Ricky Sarkany’s touching post, three years after the death of his daughter Sofía: “I miss your eternal smile”

Friday 29 March the well-known designer Ricky Sarkany paid a heartfelt tribute to his daughter Sofía Sarkany, three years after her death, after a long fight against uterine cancer.

Ricky, moved by the date, shared a heartbreaking post on his social networks. “Popi, 3 years old. “I continue to learn to live with the memory, the most beautiful memory I could imagine,” the successful designer began in a publication he uploaded to his Instagram account.

“I miss your sweet little voice, the eternal smile and the love you always sent”, added Ricky, in the publication which had thousands of likes and many messages of support and protest from friends and loved ones.

Mobilized by the memory, Sarkany stated in the publication that he accompanied with several photos of his daughter: “Repeating our phrase: ‘The best is yet to come… ALWAYS’.”

In 2018, Sofía Sarkany discovered that she had uterine cancer. She has been battling the disease ever since, but on March 29, 2021, the 31-year-old passed away. Her father, Ricky Sarkany, two months ago, in an interview with Luis Majul and Esteban Trebucq, told how her daughter has been with him since she left this world.

“Sofía is in my heart, she accompanies me at all times. I had the privilege of spending more than 30 years in this earthly life with her, I learned a lot from what I know about her and my children, and today she accompanies me from another plane,” the designer said in an interview released for The Observer 107.9.

“In the interview you had the other day with Gustavo Yankelevich, he talked about how coincidences don’t exist and I can assure you that coincidences don’t exist. In life you take a series of steps and they are all connected,” added Ricky, referring to the statements of the producer, who had spoken about Romina Yan, his deceased daughter.

“I can’t understand why what happened is that I’m not here today. “I don’t understand it and it seems to me that the one who should be here, perhaps for everything she did, for her creativity, for her vision, is her,” he said, still mobilized and affected by the pain of her death Daughter.
