After publicly showing her son’s face on social media, José María Muscari (47) spoke in depth about Lucio’s adoption process. The teenager has just turned 16 and the theater producer told how she experiences fatherhood.
A new table was held Mirtha’s night (El Trece), with Maximiliano Pullaro, Maru Duffard, Benjamín Rojas, Dr. Daniel López Rosetti and José María Muscari.
Visiting the program, the theater producer could not help but talk about his son Lucio. “He’s watching because he’s a big fan of yours. “He IS the best,” he began by telling Mirtha.
When the host asked him how he came to adopt the teenager, Muscari said: “It was very surprising but fluid at the same time. I have always wanted to be a father. For a long time I had the desire to become a father and has always been associated with the idea of adopting a child or a baby, because I thought that’s what adoption meant. Until I became shocked on the subject and discovered that, within the judicial system, there are many children who were in the state of adoption, but who they were bigger”.
“It stuck in my head, it’s not like it was listed on any calls or anything. Then I was traveling with a friend, touring Berlin and I see a viral video of Lucioof my son, who was the first child in the history of adoption from Argentina where judge Carolina Macarrein took a decision with him that was tell your story in the spotlight“, he underlined.
Then, José María explained in that video that Lucio had asked to be adopted, and this moved him. “I had a feeling I had to adopt him. I signed up for the call for which, fortunately, there were many people signed up. Lucio had the opportunity to choose between 140 families“, he said.
“That’s where we started the merging process in the first place. I was nervous, mobilized. “Will I be what he expects?” Am I going to behave?’” she wondered, and she revealed that she cried the first night, having to say goodbye to him after meeting him.
Regarding Lucio’s biography, the producer explained that he was born in Buenos Aires but that until last year he lived in Corrientes. “He calls me “old”. Until I met him, I felt it was a pejorative word, and now I realize it is a loving word”, he commented, visibly moved.
«Of course it is a daily construction. Because when someone has a child, by the time adolescence arrives they have already known him for 14 years. In my case it was suddenly, from one day to the next. We are getting to know each other and building the bond, we are both very confident about it He wants to be my son and I want to be his father.”added Muscari.
Mirtha then wanted to know if he “challenges” Lucio, and Jose María explained that he sets limits to guide him, but fortunately he is “a very polite boy, very well formed and very thoughtful”. Furthermore, he said that he is in his fourth year of high school at a school in Recoleta and that he is “an excellent student.”
“I have always wanted to be a father. But now, at 47, I realize it It wouldn’t have been logical or chronological to have a baby at this time in my life.“, He added.
He also said that his son supports him in his work as a theater producer and that he has already been able to go to see some of his works. “I took him to see it “Lost Mind” and he’s a big fan. He has a close bond with Leonor Benedetto and Ana María Picchio, he loves them very much. He also went to see ‘Whooping cough’. Now that he turned 16 he could go and see ‘Sex’which was for adults.
“I’m very happy. Especially with the number of people who found out about it Adopting an older boy or girl is possible. There are many prejudices, which I also had. Furthermore, if you have a biological child, there is no guarantee that you will not face problems during adolescence. What this has going for it is this he chose what is happening“, hill.
