Returning to Buenos Aires after settling in Spain, Hernán Piquín (50) He’s ready to dive into a new project and has made a strong confession. In a recent interview, the dancer revealed that he had undergone gastric balloon surgery AND? it helped him lose nine kilos.
Piquín presents it on April 4th “The Last Tango” at the Apolo Theaterhis new four-couple musical show, produced by Gustavo Yankelevich with Maximiliano Pita, and which he wrote during his trip to the Old Continent.
Back to Argentina, and separated from his ex-partner, Agustín BarajasHernán spoke to the magazine Soon AND He told how he constantly stays in shape.despite the tours he does around the world.
“I try to get plenty of rest and take care of my body as I have always done and as I have been taught since I was ten years old, when I entered Colón”, he began by answering the question about how he takes care of himself.
And he added: “With lessons, with stretching and good nutrition. Of course, I follow my tastes, of course, but always aware of this I can’t treat myself every day. So I take care of myself.”
Additionally, Piquín provided details on his diet, revealing that he eats everything: “Meats, vegetables and carbohydrates”.
It was in that part of the interview where he confessed that he had a gastric balloon done to lose weight. “Last year, when I went to Spain, I was about six kilos heavier. Maybe people didn’t notice, but I did. I heard it while I was dancing and it made me uncomfortable,” she said.
And he explained: “I met the people of Allurion and They gave me an ingestible gastric balloon. It’s like a pill you swallow and it swells with liquid in your stomach. and with that “I managed to lose nine kilos.”.
To interviewer Nico Peralta’s surprise, the dancer clarified: “He’s super natural. It’s like a balloon with a patch and a catheter coming out of it. It’s you You swallow it and it sticks out of your mouth like a tube.. Through that tube they inflate the balloon in your stomach with liquid. Then they pull the catheter and seal it inside the stomach.”
“It lasts four to six months. At that moment, the patch in your hand begins to dilute and gastric juices enter the balloon and begin to eat it, until you eliminate it through your feces. That’s how I lost nine kilos without stopping eating,” Piquín said.
From that process, the dancer began to take better care of both his body and his diet. “This mechanism It shows you what you eat, how much and of what quality. I started ordering again, even though being on tour is very difficult because you eat at any time and always out. The restaurant is closing, you ask for a salad but they don’t have it and they only offer you pizzas or empanadas. So you end up eating everything because something has to be eaten. And it’s never just one empanada, but three or four. Going on tour is very difficult because the times are different and I won’t even tell you about the rest.“, I moan.
In conclusion, Hernán was very grateful for the change and said that it helped him in his dance performance: “Thanks to Allurion I lost these extra kilos and I feel super agile on stage today. “I haven’t felt this agile in jumps and turns in two or three years.”
