James Cameron is the highest-grossing director in history

James Cameron, the famous Canadian director, became the highest grossing in the history of cinema with three films among the four that have achieved the highest grosses so far.

According to data published by the specialized magazine Variety, Avatars (2009) and its sequel “Avatar: the way of water” (Avatar, The Way of Water), 2022, both directed by James Cameron, remain in the No. 1 and No. 3 positions, respectively, with over $5.2 billion in grosses worldwide.

In second place is Avengers: Endgame (Avengers: Endgame) (2019), from Marvel Factory and directed by Antonio and Joe Russowhich raised $2.7 billion.
