Santi Maratea revealed that his father is suffering from cancer: he made the decision

After several days without appearing on social networks, Saints Maratea (31) resurfaced via his Instagram Stories and revealed why he had been staying away. “My old man has cancer”the influencer complained.

A few months after announcing his entry into Fútbol Club Ezeiza, not only as a player but also as a member of the club’s management, Santi explained that he will no longer be able to be part of the team.

With great sadness he said: “I had to abandon the Ezeiza club projecta project that did me a lot of good, that made me very happy, to which I dedicated a lot of time, a lot of energy, I even moved to Ezeiza to be able to stay close to the club, train every day and give my contribution inside and out from the pitch to help the club grow.”

And he revealed: “The reason I made this decision is because “My old man has cancer.”

“There’s not much to explain, I guess you’ll understand what I’m talking about. I don’t want to become sad and talking about it doesn’t make me happy at all,” continued Santi.

Furthermore, he launched an appeal to his followers to ask for support: “The football project has been very positive for me but this is not the time to think about my well-being, but focus on the well-being of my old man and my family, because that’s life, sometimes you put yourself aside to be available for the person you love. Especially when that person is going through a difficult time and needs you.

Maratea, however, explained that, even if he will no longer be part of the football club, he will continue to be present on social media and with other jobs. “The project made me dedicate too much to this. Indeed I lived very far from my family, I saw them once a week or every 15 days. And I think it’s important to be closer to my old man,” she continued.

“As for football, it makes me really sad because it made me feel really good to train, play and compete. But over there it’s time to play with my friends or have fun. Which is also really good and healthy. We will enjoy football on that side,” concluded Santi.
