Keanu Reeves is embarking on another franchise. The star of the sagas Matrix AND John Wick will have a leading role sonic 3. He will voice the popular character called Shadow, according to multiple sources The Hollywood journalist.
The news comes on the heels of a packed CinemaCon presentation from Paramount last week, when the studio unveiled the first images of sonic 3. This included the revelation that Dr. Robotnik, played by Jim Carrey, was depressed and out of shape after the events of sonic 2but he picks up his pace again with the creation of Shadow the Hedgehog, a character first introduced to video games in 2001’s Sonic Adventure 2.
The character is in many ways anti-Sonic: dark and edgy, but also reflects the hero’s powers.
Paramount’s Sonic film series dates back to the first Sonicof 2020, which despite the coronavirus pandemic exceeded 319 million dollars worldwide, becoming a great success in the video game sector, a genre that had had problems at the box office.
