Venom, Marvel’s silliest saga, ends and now laughs at the Multiverse

These are the characters (and sagas) of Wonderone of the stupidest, because if we say unbalanced there it would already compete with a few. Poison arrives at his third film and promises to be the last, although what happens in the post-credits – bear with me, fans, because if the film is rather short, things happen after more than ten minutes of reading people’s names who work – gives indications that he is still with Eddie (Tom Hardy) or continue with another saga.

We will see.

For now, the Venom films, the symbiote that lives inside the human played by Hardy, with long, multiple arms, a long tongue and that devours heads as if it were nothing, have always been Marvel’s least pretentious. So don’t ask too much or too much from Kelly Marcel’s directorial debut, after having been the screenwriter of the previous two and – alas – of Fifty Shades of Grey.

Petrol, the fuel for Venom’s story ran out in the second. And if it weren’t for the amount of violence that is exhibited in some moments, Venom: The Last Dance It should be enjoyed, or at least seen by an audience of children.

In case anyone was worried about the plot, we meet Eddie, the fugitive journalist, on a beach. For reasons we won’t reveal, he and Venom will be chased by the police and another alien, who is looking for them to obtain a codex and thus free themselves from their prison.

There are a couple of parallel stories, like that of the family led by Rhys Ifans, who Eddie meets, and who knows that in three days they will close the famous Area 51, where the American government is said to hide and study aliens. There are also soldiers led by Chiwetel Ejiofor and a couple of scientists (one of them is Juno Temple, from the series Ted Lassoand if you ask who the Mexican bartender is, it’s another one from the series with Jason Sudeikis)

Jokes against the Multiverse

The jokes range from talking badly about the Multiverse (of course, now that superhero films have started to become less exciting, let’s say the Multiverse is boring), to Tom Cruise and other gags that refer to the times of Pepe Biondi (teenagers, ask the parents or Google).

And since this is the final adventure, there will be time – after all, what they showed before was not at all attractive – to go from melancholy to sentimental.

And an ending in the credits…

And the above: if you want to know what will happen, you will have to wait, sit there, and be patient. It’s not even something that blows your mind. If they don’t stay, write to me privately and I’ll tell you. Please.
