Again, Daniel Melero stood out as a pioneer in a trend that hit the music industry with a vengeance: NFTs, a new way of accessing music.

Similarly, at other times in his career he ventured into other novel proposals, such as independent cassette editions (deadly pleasure) and exclusive content for web portals (aquanaut).

The musician and producer has now signed with the Fuxia label, which belongs to the 3.0 Qurable.co marketplace to release a very electronic and experimental album, called Last Thulewith instrumental themes with different rhythms and climates, as well as a song like Lotus flowers.

Heritage for the future

According to Melero, Last Thule it came from things I left in a folder called “File for the Future”copied over the years from one computer to another.

He described: “I had a lot of situations that didn’t fit, but they seemed interesting to me and that’s why they were hidden. But I was also recording and I started to see a weird connection between everything. those things, and I realized what I wanted to say now. “

Regarding the type of release, he clarified that “Here’s what exists is also a real record, on vinyl, that is, it’s also tangible. It’s curious how it works, because has feet on two extremes of digital and physical boundaries. And notice that vinyl is the only one revived in the digital age, I think mainly because of the size, the cover and the art ”.

-It’s too short to be the only thing on a live show. How do you fill it live?

-Actually I’ve been playing this album live, and what happens is that I’m also working on things with the group with which we did the ND Ateneo last year. Qualia It’s going to be four volumes and I’m in third, even combining things with the band. You can see that live.

-So you will play unreleased material.

-Yes. I have no intention of letting it go, but all of that will be Qualia I played it, though I didn’t say it explicitly. It’s like my first time making music and I don’t have a published album and I’m already playing it live. The process is very interesting and it is fascinating that it is happening to me at this stage of life.

-The material changes live, before recording.

-Yes. All the time it is metabolized and I try to be attentive to it because it leads me to meanings and interests. more interesting than riding on my story.

In addition to his usual musical partner William Rodriguezwith Daniel Melero joined by Agustina Paz, Facundo Nakamura, Paul Thielsen on drums and Nicola Carrara, who discusses some of the processes of her voice and other devices live.

will also play Davoogiean emerging musician Melero himself highly recommends considering it as a new music option.

“We’ve already built some cinemas in the interior of the country,” he says. “It’s part of the Tour of the Unpredictable. Personally, I’ve always had the fantasy of playing once a year, but I’m excited about what’s going on in my mind when I’m lucky enough to interact with artists, like of what happened to me for the rest of my life. “

-But you are driven by the enthusiasm you keep looking for when making music.

– Ideally, if I let myself, I will do less, but I think my life needs to continue to be inspired, beyond the vagaries of age. There’s something that still keeps me interested in sounds and in music and in ideas. I like the adventure of ideas.
