Arcade Fire will have a world tour with their new album, which airs today

Montreal band Arcade Fire announced their first world tour since 2018 to promote their sixth album, we, on sale this Friday.

The group will open the ball in Dublin, Ireland, in August and then visit 18 cities in Europe and 10 cities in America. The European tour will end on 1eh October in Warsaw. Lisbon is the only city on the tour that will have two concerts, on September 22 and 23. Tickets will go on sale on May 13.

The tour will end in Toronto in December, followed by shows in Edmonton and Vancouver.

In Montreal for Osheaga

No Quebec city is part of the group’s itinerary for this tour, but it has already been announced that Arcade Fire will replace Foo Fighters as the headliner of the first day of the Osheaga festival, July 29, in Montreal.

Canadian singer-songwriter Feist will open for European dates, while American musician Beck will join Arcade Fire for North American shows.

In addition to releasing their new album and announcing their tour, the group must also participate in the show. Saturday Night Live this weekend and at the Juno Awards Gala on May 15 in Toronto.

Arcade Fire continues without one of its founding members, Will Butler, who announced in March that he was leaving the group last year. However, one brother of the singer Win Butler participated in the group’s new album.
