The legacy of former PQ minister Camille Laurin will soon be celebrated. The Quebec Government on Friday announced a $ 950,000 grant to the Société des musées du Québec for creating a traveling exhibition on the father of Bill 101.
In a press release, the Quebec government indicated that archival documents signed by the politician related to the Charter of the French language will be placed on exhibition.
Visitors will also be able to consult excerpts of his declarations. on the importance of providing Quebec with a comprehensive language policyas well as photos from his career and news about him.

The Camille Laurin exhibition project therefore highlights in a very good way the contribution of this great man, this giant, to the development of Quebec’s language policy and to the influence of the French language, which is inseparable from our identity. .
The exhibition will travel to Quebec and Montreal, as well as to various regions of the province. It will be on display in some of the 300 member establishments of the Société des musées du Québec.
The Quebec government has not specified when it will be shown to the public.
