Yesterday the hunt began in the heart of downtown, in the area of Diagonal Norte and Plaza de Mayo overlooking the Obelisk. They planned a 5-block cut from the Plaza to Avenida 9 de Julio: it was not possible to drive directly to Diagonal Norte.

The choice of day, Saturday, was precisely for that reason, due to the lower circulation of people and traffic, but to make up for those absences 200 cars were rented wrong action plan to keep traffic jams in place on a weekday. Bus and taxi lines are also contracted.

400 extras were called to pass executives walking in suits, or just passers-by and people on bicycles.

And what is the scene itself? The two characters, Manuel and Vincent, as seen in the photos, walked and crossed the streets, while the Argentine talked to him about the city of Buenos Aires.

When the last shot outside was over Robert DeNiro in Argentina, the two -time Oscar winner, for Ang Ninong Part II Y wild bull, left in his van for the Four Seasons Hotel Mansion he has been staying at since he arrived, on Saturday, April 30 at noon. The last “Cut!”

A few minutes after 7 pm Robert De Niro heard the last “Cut!” in Buenos Aires. The entire team, technicians and production, applauded and, although hard to believe, some cried with emotion, in sharing this time with the Hollywood star.

He then stayed a minute chatting with Cohn and Duprat – who had been for seven days at the age of seven – and left, probably at the Four Seasons hotel. His private flight, from Ezeiza International Airport, left at midnight, en route to New York City.

Niro made comments to the group of assistant directors, which he publicly praised, which reminded him of Buenos Aires much of Madrid, where he was in March. And both his former agent, Emanuel Núñez, and his wardrobe assistant for more than 30 years, Catalan Mónica Ruiz-Ziegler, told the set that the actor was super happy with the experience of filming in Argentina.

Is there anything left pending from the planned shoot? No. Recognizes that, perhaps, if there is a need to amplify, such as audio recordings of Niro -his character is the one who narrates the five chapters of the series: his voice appears in the first four, only in the fifth and finally his presence can be seen in the pictures-, that will be done in New York.

That’s what Cohn and Duprat would have talked about with the actor in his farewell. Niro saw in New York a copy of official competitionthe film starring Penelope Cruz, Antonio Banderas and Oscar Martínez, and The film by Cohn and Duprat will be screened at the TriBeCa Festival, founded by De Niro. That is next month, in June, on Sunday the 12th. The film will open commercially in the United States next Friday, the 17th.

Everything will close: if any re-recording or re-recording is needed, Cohn and Duprat are there to do it.

And there are still 7 weeks of filming left.

The filming appointment sheet for tomorrow, Monday, indicates it will be shot again in La Boca, the interior of Manuel’s home. Certainly there will no longer be a deployment like this week, and there will be no need to block streets, unless it is filmed outside.

Also, this week it is expected that one day the special participation of Guillermo Francella will be recorded who, as we said yesterday, is a used car dealer that Manuel goes to when he wants to remove his yellow Mercedes Benz from the ’80s, where he and Vincent came to the gastronomy book presentation at the Faena Art Center.

But most importantly, the most important thing has already happened. They are eight fun days, with six days of filming, sometimes 12 hours, whose final result, regardless of life experience, will be seen on Star + streaming next year, in 2023.
