“Paper Girls”, a science fiction series that adapts the eponymous comics by Brian K. Vaughan, had its first teaser released by Prime Video on social media. The preview shows a little bit the personality of the protagonists, who will be played by Riley Lai Nelet, Sofia Rosinsky, Camryn Jones and Fine Strazza.

Published between 2016 and 2019 in the United States, the comics are set in the 1980s and follow a group of newspaper delivery girls: KJ Brandman, Erin Tieng, Mac Coyle and Tiffany Quilkin. During Halloween night, they get caught up in a time-traveling war and must set out on an adventure to save the world.
The “Paper Girls” episodes will be written by Stephany folsom, co-writer of “Toy Story 4”. She also shares an executive producer role with Vaughan.
Amazon Prime Video has not yet released the premiere date for the first season of “Paper Girls”.
